I LOVE THESE PADS! They are great for my 5yr who got them when he was 4yrs as a bday gift. He is 47lbs and 44in tall they are a bit big but work for a while! and for fitting a little big they are great to size up and not get in the way! Overall this year they are holding up great and not a single thing has ripped or come undone or tore! In the photo, the jersey he has to wear is huge on him! but the pads you can bearly tell, and he likes them! He says they fit better than his last and they help hold his elbow pads in place better too.
Buyer beware product shown is not what you get. Product is not what is stated in picture. No mesh liner included. Also around neck is not the same. See my picture below for the actual product that was delivered.
The reason I only give 4 is because it's a little too thin for me. I wish the whole thing could be thicker so it gives more protect.

I purchased this after getting hit by a hockey ball because my 'standard' jock did not provide adequate protection, mainly on the sides. I wore this next game and I took two shots directly and both times I barely felt the impact, and certainly did not experience blinding pain. I took the advice of another review and made sure I fit it correctly (there is some manual forming of the cup part you should do with your hands before putting it on) and it fit great. It is very comfortable and does not impede movement. I would definitely recommend this to anyone playing goalie.
I was unsure if I wanted to buy a cheaper cup but after biting the bullet, I found the quality on this to be great. It's not super bulky like my old Vaughn. I've already taken a wrister to the nuts and barely felt it. Good job Bauer!
It does what it supposed to .the ellastic bands and the padding around the cup itself are very comfortable . Its a heavy duty cup .if i got hit last time i wore it i didnt even feel it.
