The description and picture both say a "two strap design," but the pair I ordered only has one strap. I ordered the 9" size. Check out the picture. There is no lower strap. These would be difficult to keep in place, in my opinion, so I returned them.
The Bauer Youth Supreme 150 are a great set of pads. I have the 9" for my 5yr old son and the 10" for my 9yr old daughter. Both only have a single velcro strap, but I haven't felt like a second lower strap is particularly needed. The shin guards have a good amount of padding in the knee area but are lightweight.Both of my kids use the pads for recreational hockey at a local public rink. My son just wears the pads under snowpants. My daughter wears hers under hockey socks.Overall, I have no complaints. The price is right and they work well.
There is no lower strap on these shin guards even though the description states a two strap system and there appears to be two straps in the photo. We were disappointed in the misleading product description. They also took more than two weeks to ship standard. We did end up keeping them as we didn't have time to return and shop for another pair.

These shorts are great. I used to use a compression short with a pocket for your cup but it would never stay in place. While playing it never crossed my mind but after I was always a little relieved that nothing happened. Well, I bought these and let me tell you, I am 100% confident that my "stuff" is protected. It even comes with a cup. The velcro is awesome. I save money on tape as well after buying these because I dont need them for my socks anymore (as long as you have the right socks). My socks have the velcro attachments. I have not tried these with the thick woolish socks but i don't see why they wouldnt stick.My only gripe about these is the jock strap starts to fray after awhile. I use mine regularly and am on the second pair (in about a year) which, given the cost, is really nothing.
I would recommend going down 1 size. I'm 6,1" 225 and have been wearing an XL for the last 25 years, but the size XL for these shorts were a bit too big. Other than the size, no other issues, great for hockey and well made.
The spandex jock was always pinching and binding up my business so I purchased these. They are nice and thin so as to keep me cool when I'm dangling. Mark Messier for life.
