After using it for about 2 weeks, I've decided that I love this product. Whey makes me nauseous, so this is a good, clean alternative. Now, having said that, I hated it the first time I tried it (shaken in a blender cup with unsweetened almond milk) - it tasted like peas for breakfast. I am not giving it 5 stars because it doesn't taste good on its own. I add 1 TBsp of unsweetened cocoa powder and blend it with either a bullet blender or a hand blender and that makes it much better. What makes it amazing is the cocoa powder, 1 tsp Coconut Butter, and 1/2 tsp Bulletproof Brain Octane Oil. It must be blended with a machine and given some improvements to its flavor and texture. Once blended, it holds up very well. After 5 hours, it had not separated one bit. I've blended it with oatmilk and almondmilk. Both are great.
FORMAT CHANGED... this tastes awful and does not blend well, as it did in the past. I mixed one scoop using a shaker bottle and water, the result was a thick and pasty or gritty flavor. In the past I had no problem with this same method. I then mixed in my NutriBullet using the same method and ingredients I've used for 6 months now. This time the THORNE RESEARCH - Vegalite would not dissolve! I blended it longer than usual, added more liquid than usual, decreased the fruits..and no matter what I tried, my drink still tasted gritty and the protein did not dissolve. I will no longer buy this product and use another brand. If I had purchased it at the local store instead of online, I would have returned it for a full refund. Instead, I have to dump this one in the trash and I'm not a happy shopper.
This is the most horrible protein powder I have ever tasted. The texture and taste are absolutely the worst. I bought this product after reading some positive reviews but I don't understand how someone can like this product. I mixed it with frozen berries and I only make it with water but really can't stand it. Have you ever drank the cleansing drink before a colonoscopy? Well this is worse. Maybe for some people it's fine but I have nothing good to say about this product. I am going to finish it only because of it's high cost and don't want to waste my money. In the future I will never buy any product made by this brand name.
