A&R Sports Shin Sleeve

★★★★★ The A&R Sports Shin Sleeve is ideal for any hockey player that is sick of spending money on clear tape for their shins and want to keep their shin pads tight to their legs to prevent injuries.I play hockey for Iowa State University’s Cyclone Club Hockey team and skate five times a week so I take hockey very seriously. I expect a lot from my equipment so that I can be comfortable and perform at my highest level. When I purchased this product there were certain specifications that the product needed to meet for me. One thing the product needed to do for me was keep my shin pads tight to my legs. This is really important to me because sometimes my shin pads can shift around during games and practices this shifting of my shin pads may make my leg exposed to sticks and shots. Another benefit I needed from this product was it to be light. Having skates, socks, hockey socks, shin pads, and hockey pants all on the lower body makes moving your legs tough even with the lightest equipment. It is very important that the A&R Sports Shin Sleeve is light.I'm happy to say after using this product for over two months I am extremely satisfied with the A&R Sports Shin Sleeve. Not once have my shin pads shifted on my legs this product keeps your shin pads tight to your leg. For example, the other game I went down on one knee to block a shot and my shin pads stayed in the correct position so I was not injured in result of the shot. The product also doesn't add extra weight to my legs witch is very nice especially when you have to skate at practice. Last but not least the best thing about this product is that you don't need to use clear tape anymore once you have this product!From my own experience with this product I would highly recommend this for any hockey player sick of paying for tape, if you buy this product you can save a lot of money in the long run. I would also recommend this to any hockey player that wants to keep their knees protected. This product could save you from an injury from any sticks or pucks by keeping your shin pads in the correct position.I hope this review is helpful to anyone that plays hockey.

★★☆☆☆ These sleeves get the job done. If you have ever used the Shin Tights brand sleeves, these are much more rigid and do not stretch as much. This can be good or bad as they are harder to put on over your shin pads but provide more support. My only issue with them is that they have broken down over the last few months and have multiple holes in each. As an Ice hockey referee, I do 5-6 games a week so they have seen a lot of action. However, I do expect a higher level of durability.
