Lab analysis (Gas Chromatography - Electron Ionisation Mass Spectrometry) detected no pterostilbene in product. FDA complaint has been lodged.
Real Pterostilbene costs over $1200 per kilogram from manufacturers of the ingredient. I was informed by Chromadex who performed a lab test on this product, that it contains counterfeit Pterostilbene. I guess when it is too cheap, there is a reason it is too good to be true.
Pure pterostilbene is supposed to be a White to off-white solid as per it MSDS. The powder on this one is purple and tastes sweet. Thank you for this report. I also think this is fake. Some brands try to pass off blueberry extract as Pterostilbene, I think this is one of them.
